Selenite Golden 18" Necklace

Wow this is special... you have seen me wear Selenite, but it's the first time I have made one to purchase!  Named after 'Selene' the Greek goddess of the Moon... I wonder why! 

This mystical Selenite cabochon measures 3x2.5cm with an overall pendant size of 5x3cm.  

Horizontally set, and enhanced with curls and swirls .. no accents required here, it's all about the magical presence of this wonderous gemstone.

Selenite is said to have many properties, its good for removing negative and unwanted energies from the environment, brings positivity to the wearer, and provides mental clarity... it also glows in ultra violet light!

Selenite is sometimes known as Satin Spar or Gypsum Flower, and is a 2 on the Mohs hardness scale, so the surface can scratch a little over time but it only adds to the character of the stone.  Also to remember it is water-soluble, so don't charge it or submerge in water.  If it needs to be cleaned, use a fine mist spray of water and soft cloth.
